I’ve lived in Cebu City for many years now, and I am, admittedly, a laagan. I used to live in a neighborhood near Raintree Mall in Ramos St., and I used to frequent the arcade, which is why I was surprised that I haven’t been to this bridge connecting the second floor of the arcade. I found it funny that I wore almost the exact same top as the One Direction guy in the poster. Continue reading “OUTFIT | One Direction”
We had a team Christmas party at the beach. I’m not a beachbum, and I have to admit that when the sand is not the color of salt/sugar/flour, I have hesitations. I am spoiled by our island’s white sand beaches, which we can access for free. But that Christmas party was one of the best beach parties I attended, especially when we played slipper game! I know this is a belated post, but better late than never. 😛
I’m wearing thrifted hat adorned with thrifted polka dot scarf, thrifted linen blouse, my sister’s denim shorts, and LeDonne wedges.
My boyfriend and I spent one Sunday having another double date. We (actually, only my boyfriend) took maternity shots of our friend, Nestie and Jay-R, and had lots of fun even with the heavy rain. Our first (but not our last) maternity shoot. 😛 I love having photoshoots with friends because I can play a dream role, and they allow me to play a dream role, and we all have fun while being productive. While riding the jeepney to Ayala, and secretly glancing at the two Korean girls taking iPhone photos of the surroundings, I began to think of why I love white vintage tops that you can see being popularly worn by grandmothers. I recall my childhood as full of books and reading. I read children’s books with female heroines like The Little Women, The House in the Prairie series, Little Princess, Secret Garden, and Anne of Avonlea. I have limited imagination and would only imagine my favorite characters wearing white top and some kind of a skirt. So, I love white granny tops, and I have collected several of them, stored separately from my other clothes.
This top I’m wearing is a “new” one, one of the few things I bought during a massive thrifting adventure last Sunday with my friends. Their thrifting adventure was massive, while mine was just average because I only have P400 thrifting money. P400 wasn’t bad though because I score 2 dresses, 2 bathing suits, and 4 tops.
Come to think of it, this outfit is a thrifted outfit. My shorts, which look vintage but isn’t, is a thrift find, and so are the bag and shoes.
I’m wearing vintage top, thrifted shorts, thrifted bag, thrifted shoes, various bracelets and my sister’s old watch.
From where I thrifted these pair of Vans sneakers and vintage Etienne Aigner bag, I also thrifted two other pairs of shoes: one of which was this pair of Helmut Lang strappy sandals. I was eyeing another pair of strappy sandals but unfortunately the pair was missing, so I settled for this Helmut Lang pair. It’s not bad, isn’t it? I paired the sandals with a vintage floral peplum top that I bought for P10 four years ago, a pair of old shorts (thrifted too, of course), and thrifted leather bag. Hi, how’s life treating you?
