We sometimes choose the unlikeliest places as a destination. As an example, we went to Bais City in 2009. Bais City is famous for its dolphin-watching tours but we did not go there to watch dolphins, but to eat hotcakes and ice scramble and watch children play outside the public schools on a Friday afternoon. Coming from the central nautical highway in northern part of Cebu, we took a right turn to Borbon and passed through Tabunan and stopped at a sitio in Tabogon called Muabog. Muabog is a tree popular in the area. An almost three-hour ride from the city took us to Bunzie’s Cove, a beach resort owned by Cebuano jeweller, Annie Chen. The property includes a beach cove, that could not be called secluded because locals also use it to dock their fishing boats.
