How To: Organize Ribbons

If you’re like me who saves pretty ribbons from gifts and who buys pretty ribbons all the time, then I’m sure you would have lots of tangled ribbons that you want to throw them all away and just buy new ones. Tonight, I did a quick DIY because I bought a pretty ribbon I saw at Expressions. And, it’s very simple. Continue reading “How To: Organize Ribbons”

Dinner at the Tiny Apartment

We have a tiny apartment — only 18 square meters. But that doesn’t stop us from enjoying other people’s companies. Most days, it’s just me and my husband, and before one year ago, it was just me. We have my family stay with us when they visit us from Siquijor (all four of them), we also have my cousins when they are here in Cebu, and we also love playing hosts to my husband’s family. At one point, we have had probably 15 people inside for my birthday party. How do you host a dinner party in a tiny apartment? Continue reading “Dinner at the Tiny Apartment”

P100 Teacup Flowers

My husband’s niece celebrated her 18th birthday and we decided to give her a “tea party.” Her favorite color is blue and hydrangeas (locally called “million”) were the only blue-colored flower we found when we went to the Freedom Park. We had a difficult time looking for hyndrangeas as they were almost already sold out, the day being a Friday (meaning lots of weddings to be held the following day). Good thing a kind flower vendor allowed me to buy three bunches of hydrangeas for P30 each bunch. I gave him a P100 bill and asked him to keep the change, which meant I paid P100 for these flowers. P10 Watercolor Print Paper Gift Wrap from Gaisano Main

My favorite mall is Gaisano Main, and I immediately head to their kitchen wares department (Level 4) to look for bargain ceramics. The kitchen ware department also houses home decor and their gift wrapping section. The stocks, I admit, are old but that is what I truly love about Gaisano Main. P300 Flower Arrangement

It is not a surprise that once in a while I would indulge in a post solely about flowers. I have always loved flowers, especially because my grandmother grows lots of flowering plants in her home. When I do my weekly groceries shopping at the wet market, I often make sure to buy flowers to brighten up our tiny home. To inspire me, I browse the net, most especially Pinterest, and look through florists’ websites, like BloomNation (a website for florists that offers flower delivery) and magazines.
