Let’s a take a break from the travel posts (but I would still blog some more travel-related posts next week because I have some backlog stories to share), and talk about outfits! Haha.. I was (and still am) seriously considering converting this blog into a travel blog because travel-related posts seem to be the more popular posts. But I just can’t resist the temptation of posting outfit photos because outfit photos were the core and the backbone of this blog since its creation. I will resolve to publish only one #ootd post per month because, the truth is, I also don’t go out often.
I’m wearing a thrifted knitted top (Korean label), thrifted quilted bag with gold chain, thrifted Gap skirt I bought from my thrifting adenture in Medellin, and a pair of Castilla sandals from Suelas I bought when they had their grand sale last June.
I’m wearing thrifted River Island silk dress, Salvatore Ferragamo Miss Vara bow bag I bought from a flea market for P300, and the Suelas flats. The Miss Vara bag was a steal. I was so dumbfounded when I asked the owner how much she’s selling the bag for because I could not believe it. The bag is out of stock but was retailing for P32,239 at Overstock.com. It was a really good steal because the bag is also roomy enough to hold my laptop and other stuff. 😛
This was an experimental outfit. I wore this in Medellin during the family reunion. I was racking my brains of a not-so-ordinary way of wearing a freebie reunion shirt, and thought wearing a custom-made body-conscious skirt by Maui Lezama would do the trick. It is not a named body-conscious for no reason. I was actually conscious the whole time but most especially during eating time. Haha! But, there was one thing I realized — YOLO! I also wore the Suelas sandals (again!) and paired it with a bayong bag from Kultura Filipino.
To illustrate just how much I love wearing the Suelas sandals, here’s the last outfit photo wearing the same pair. I wore it with my husband’s thrifted pair of Levi’s jeans, my decade-old Levi’s denim jacket and a vintage polka dot top. I was never really drawn towards the boyfriend jeans look because I thought I’d look frumpy. What I didn’t know was the husband jeans look is even better.
Bye for now, and happy weekend!
