I am not a sweets girl. While my sister would choose the blueberry cheesecake in a heartbeat, I’d choose the sandwich or the pasta. But, of course, I’d take a little bite of the blueberry cheesecake she ordered, and she’d take a huge bite of my sandwich (haha!). Once in a while though, I’d like to eat something sweet, but for breakfast, I’d always choose the typical savory Filipino over the sweet European pastries (but I wouldn’t mind a combination of both) :D.
I bought a box of Maya Hotcakes to cook for breakfast. Maya Hotcakes are fluffy and has the right amount of sweetness. One time though I thought I’d combine the hotcakes with a can of tuna and some cheese. The hotcakes, though burnt (see photo above), turned out delicious.
some tuna, chopped onions & garlic
For the hotcakes, just follow the instructions stated in the box. You may need additional ingredients like water, vegetable oil and an egg. It’s very easy though, even kids can do it. Mix in the tuna with onions and garlic and cheese. You can combine all, or make two batters and place tuna on one portion and cheese on the other. Fry some butter in a pan and cook the hotcakes. That’s it! 🙂
Happy Friday, and happy holiday!
