My family knows I would wear anything, except one thing: rubber shoes. I only wear them when necessary (during graded Physical Education activities, or when exercising, which I only do at gunpoint). One Saturday, my family and I went on a thrifting adventure where we scored several good quality footwear and never-worn pants for mother. The pair I’m wearing is supposed to be my nephew’s (see boy in the picture) but the shoes were a little big for him. But father advised me to pick up the shoes for my nephew to wear in a few month’s time. I wore them instead. To the mall. I don’t feel comfortable with it. I felt funny. I felt like my feet shrunk. And I look short. Well, maybe I am short, my nephew, who’s only 8 is past my shoulders already.
